Your Impact

As the Senior Manager, Commissions you will lead all financial aspects of the Company's commission and sales incentive strategy for a 600+ person global sales organization. This individual will play a key role in ensuring accuracy, transparency, and scalability of commissions and contribute meaningfully to broader Commercial FP&A initiatives. You will have great exposure to problem solving, data analysis, reporting and building trusted partnerships across functions at Axon.

What

You'll Do
  • Work with Sales leadership to design and structure incentive compensation plans for our global sales team.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on all things commissions, diagnosing and solving operational and analytical problems, while collaborating closely with systems and operations teams to ensure accurate calculations and efficient processes.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales Strategy, IT, Finance and Accounting to analyze, validate and forecast commissions payout and financial statement impact relative to top line bookings and overall company performance.
  • Ensure thorough reconciliations, controls and audit processes that validate data integrity and reduce risk.
  • Develop and lead process improvement initiatives to enhance end user experience and scalability of commissions system, audit controls and operational processes.
  • Periodically report out to executive team on quarterly financial results and sales incentive effectiveness or trend analyses.
  • Support regular forecast updates and communicate early insights into risks or opportunities spanning commissions, bookings and other sales financial metrics.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years of experience in commissions, sales/revenue operations, finance or another highly analytical role
  • 2+ years of experience as a people manager or team lead with positive interest in supporting the professional growth of your colleagues
  • Experience with interpreting and communicating sales performance with data-based insights
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with data modelling, forecasting and analysis
  • Strong understanding of commission systems and incentive compensation management (ICM) tools such as Spiff, Captivate

    IQ, Anaplan and CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and lead cross-functional projects or process improvements in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex analytical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Location

Hybrid Presence based near our US Hubs - Boston, San Francisco, Atlanta, Sterling, Denver, Seattle, New York City or Scottsdale. This role follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation. Base Pay Range

$141,225-$225,960 USD
