Operational Readiness Technical Operations and Assurance

The ideal candidate has a degree in project management or construction management and experience with document management activities, configuration management, facility operations, and readiness. We are seeking an independent, detail oriented, quick-learning, multi-tasking, and collaboration focused individual to support our priorities and advance our initiatives. In addition, responsibilities include:

• Supporting readiness activities by helping plan, coordinate, and document tasks that ensure facilities, operations, and research activities can begin safely and in compliance with requirements.
• Assisting with preparing and maintaining project documentation, following established records‑management and configuration‑management practices.
• Helping interpret and apply relevant requirements under the guidance of senior staff, ensuring accuracy in technical documentation for PNNL facilities.
• Contributing to the development, revision, and implementation of processes, procedures, and work practices that support operational readiness and compliance.
• Participating in reviews by gathering data and helping identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborating with project managers, team members, and other PNNL staff to complete assigned tasks, ask clarifying questions, and ensure effective communication across groups

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS/BA or higher

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or closely related field.
• Familiar with Autodesk Vault, Microsoft Word, Adobe PDF tools, Microsoft Project and SharePoint.
• Experience leading readiness projects, coordinating schedules, and driving timely completion of tasks and deliverables.
• Familiar with metadata management, lifecycle management, version control, and cross‑functional stakeholder coordination.
• General familiarity with facility management and operational processes.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills for working effectively across diverse teams.

Candidate must be able to navigate uneven surfaces and wear personal protective equipment (e.g., hard hat, safety glasses, substantial footwear, and highly visible vest). Work environment may expose the candidate to chemical or radiological hazards requiring specialized training and PPE.

This position involves access to sensitive systems and information. U.S. Citizenship is required. Pacific Northwest National Laboratory is subject to the Department of Energy Unclassified Foreign Visits & Assignments Program site, information, technologies, and equipment access requirements.

This is not a Testing Designated Position (TDP).
