SUMMARY
To assist teachers in the implementation of instructional programs in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. This position will be a direct assistance to a special education student in a one on one basis.

LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to students, parents and/or staff.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to work with mathematical concepts appropriate to the duties assigned. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHERSKILLS and ABILITIES
Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional program; ability to plan and implement lessons based on division and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students to whom assigned. Ability to use appropriate language and accompanying techniques with adolescents on one-to-one basis as well as in groups.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers and parents; skill in oral and written communication.
