The Role

The Project Scheduler will support the Operations project team in implementing major projects and will provide scheduling, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting on projects. He/she will maintain close working relationships with the Project Team to ensure that they meet or exceed Project Scheduling standards.

Responsibilities
  • The position works, gathers, and distributes information and reports directly to the Sr. Project Manager or any of the other positions on the team.
  • Familiar with Project Management Processes and Methodologies - WBS, Resources Loading, CPM, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Primavera and Microsoft Project
  • Review existing reports and recommend improvements where applicable.
  • Knowledge of planning and scheduling concepts and principles including effects on financial performance.
  • Gathers data for schedule baseline development and maintenance.
  • Identifies and investigates project schedule variances.
  • Collects and updates data and updates and produces scheduling reports.
  • Supports gathering and assembling data for schedule updating.
  • Performs measurement of project schedule progress and gathers and assembles data for schedule and network updating.
  • Familiar with construction drawings, specifications and construction contracting methods.
  • Understands CPM scheduling concepts and principles and able to develop detailed engineering, procurement and construction logic.
  • Understands concepts and principles of scope control and change management and earned value methodology.
  • Performs monthly report preparation.
  • Participates in planning and scheduling meetings to gain insight to planning and scheduling issues.
  • Performs Time Impact Analysis for project changes.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000.
The compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience.

Qualifications
  • Preferred 3+ years of Project Scheduling or Project Planning experience
  • Familiar with Project Management Processes and Methodologies:
  • WBS
  • Resources Loading
  • CPM
  • Agile
  • proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Primavera and Microsoft Project
  • Be able to work a 4-10 work week schedule (4 day week/10 hrs per day)
Education

Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in engineering or construction management from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related field experience.
