Excelsior Design, Inc. (EDI) is seeking candidates to fill a senior mechanical engineering position in the Richland, Washington Office. In this position, the candidate will perform duties to support design of various mechanical systems as required by the needs of projects. Candidate must be self-motivated, have a strong willingness to learn, be able to work independently as well as with a multi-disciplinary team, and have excellent organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilitiesand Duties
Responsibilities will include working independently and/or under the direct supervision of licensed professional engineers as well as working with other mechanical engineers and mechanical designers/drafters to develop design media. Candidate will be responsible for development and/or review of design media that will be issued for construction. Design media may include but is not limited to:
- Design analyses for equipment sizing
- Process Piping
- Detailed fabrication and construction drawings
- HVAC Flow Calculations
- HVAC design and analysis
- Construction specifications
- Test Plans and Procedures
This position will also involve providing support during construction, start-up and testing phases of projects including procurement support, submittal reviews, responding to requests for information, documenting engineering changes, and writing acceptance test procedures.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum 10-15 years of engineering experience is required.
- Demonstrate the legal right to work in the United States.
- Candidate must undergo and successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Licensed as a professional engineer in Washington State or the ability to become licensed within one year of employment.
