Position: Vacuum Engineer for Next-Gen Gravitational Wave Detector
A leading research institution is seeking a Vacuum Engineer for a key role in the Cosmic Explorer Beamtube Experiment (CEBEX) at the LIGO Hanford Observatory, Washington. The successful candidate will design and oversee the assembly and operation of a 120m demonstration tube, engage in systems engineering, and mentor junior engineers. A background in vacuum science and engineering, along with proficiency in CAD tools like Solid Works, is essential.

This position offers a competitive salary range of $134,000 – $168,100 per year, and is critical to advancing gravitational wave detection technology.
