Environmental Regulatory Support Specialist

Pro Sidian seeks an Environmental Regulatory Support Specialist (GSSC) located in the Hanford Eastern Washington (Tri‑Cities - Kennewick | Pasco | Richland) Area. This full‑time senior consultant position provides services and support on behalf of the DOE Hanford site, specifically for the Tank Farms Project Division (TPD).

Provide services as an Environmental Regulatory Support Specialist on behalf of the US Dept. of Energy (DOE) Hanford site, who requires general support services for the Tank Farms Project Division (TPD).

• Tank Closure Documentation – provide analysis and review of regulatory compliance and supporting documentation for tank closure in accordance with environmental laws and regulations applicable to Hanford (e.g., performance assessments, risk assessments, closure plans, RCRA Facility Investigation/Corrective Measures Studies, etc.).
• Technical Assistance – provide support in the development of regulatory, permitting, compliance, tank closure, and Hanford policy and strategy as well as regulatory analysis, guidance, recommendation, and responses.
• General – provide day‑to‑day support for tank closure activities; develop written products (emails, reports, briefs to DOE) and verbal communications regarding environmental regulatory activities performed in support of DOE; perform tank closure reviews/evaluations as necessary to support DOE.

Desired qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 5 years of relevant experience in the field of radioactive and hazardous waste management.
• Experience in implementation and development of AEA, RCRA, CERCLA, HWMA, TSCA, CAA requirements and documents.
• Experience in risk/performance assessments, groundwater monitoring and remediation, soil characterization and remediation, RCRA permitting, RCRA/CERCLA integration.
• Knowledge of the Hanford site and experience at a DOE Office of Environmental Management site.
• Experience in working with and negotiating with regulatory agencies; ability to interact with diverse parties.
• Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, problem identification and resolution capabilities.
• U.S. citizenship required.

• U.S. citizenship; must be eligible for a "Facility Access Authorization" (USG's designated Security Office).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and Adobe products.
• Must qualify for background investigative requirements up to Top Secret or DOE "Q" clearance.

Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, events, site visits or training. Work will be conducted at or near Hanford Eastern Washington (Tri‑Cities - Kennewick | Pasco | Richland) Area.

• Work products must be thorough, accurate, and comply with established criteria.
• Weekly and monthly reporting requirements, including deliverable progress, timecards, and invoicing.
