• Design, improve, and develop complex metallic cast components from concept through production.
• Apply engineering analysis and sound design principles to improve performance, manufacturability, and reliability.
• Work closely with external foundry suppliers, manufacturing, quality, and cross‑functional on‑site engineering teams to bring designs to life.
• Own design control activities including drawings, specifications, engineering changes, and technical documentation.
• Investigate manufacturing and field issues, identify root causes, and develop robust engineering solutions.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory expectations.
• Drive continuous improvement in both product design and engineering processes.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and provide technical leadership on key projects.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology, or Engineering Science also acceptable).
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques, and criteria.
• Good communication skills to comprehend and convey detailed technical data.
• Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong problem‑identification and problem‑resolution skills.
• Displays informal leadership characteristics.
• Exhibits questioning attitude and practices self‑checking.
• Advanced proficiency with specialized software tools and programming languages as required by the role.
• Experience with metallic cast components (investment castings preferred).
• Expertise in mechanical component design and detailed engineering drawing review.
• Proficiency with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience working with foundries or casting suppliers.
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
• Product development from concept through production.
• Root cause analysis and resolving manufacturing or quality issues.

• Salary: $110,000 – $121,000, with potential annual incentives and performance bonuses.
