Engineering Operations Support Specialist

Responsibilities

• Support DOE oversight of contractor conduct of operations
• Assist in technical training programs and maintenance activities
• Perform engineering assessments and document results in the iCAS database
• Coordinate issue identification, tracking, corrective actions, and resolution with HFO engineering staff
• Interface with DOE senior management and contractor leadership
• Research and apply DOE directives, policies, and procedures
• Prepare clear, concise, and accurate reports and correspondence
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Participate in meetings and project discussions

• BS/BA degree in engineering, science, or business management
• Six (6) years of experience may be substituted for a BS/BA degree
• Six (6) years of direct experience with HFO WTP/WED as a management consultant or senior manager
• Experience of writing assessment reports for WTP and entering into iCAS
• Comprehensive understanding of the Hanford Site mission, activities, and priorities
• In-depth knowledge of DOE Hanford processes and procedures
• Proficient in DOE’s program management practices, policies, and procedures
• Familiarity with technology management tools used at Hanford
• Exceptional communication skills
• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft 365, MS Word, and Excel

Demonstrates expertise in DOE oversight, technical training, and engineering assessments, with a strong focus on compliance with Hanford Site processes and effective communication. Proficient in utilizing Microsoft 365 for documentation and reporting.
