SSD Project Management Specialist

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for an SSD Project Management Specialist opportunity in Richland, WA for the DOE Hanford Field Office.

The SSD Project Management Specialist will provide general support forthe U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Field Office (HFO), Site Stewardship Division (SSD) in the planning, coordination, tracking, documentation, and reporting of land management activities associated with site operations, environmental compliance, land use controls, and other related long-term stewardship activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable requirements, schedules, and program objectives.

Effective execution of these activities requires program management support to coordinate schedules, deliverables, stakeholders, field activities, documentation, and reporting.

Assistance with site stewardship program management shall include:

• Assist in planning and coordination of site stewardship projects, tasks, and milestones.
• Support development and maintenance of project schedules, work plans, action item lists, and task trackers.
• Coordinate with internal organizations, subject matter experts, field personnel, and management to support program and project execution.
• Assist in identifying schedule conflicts, resource needs, and project risks, and elevate issues to management as appropriate.
• Support activities associated with land use planning, land access coordination, land status tracking, property stewardship, and institutional control implementation, as assigned.
• Assist with compiling, organizing, and validating land management data, maps, files, and related documentation.
• Coordinate program interfaces with real property, environmental compliance, cultural/ecological resources, site planning, and other organizations as needed.
• Support implementation of site stewardship program requirements, procedures, and management expectations.
• Support tracking of project performance against established schedules and milestones.
• Assist in development and maintenance of performance metrics, dashboards, and status indicators for management use.
• Identify potential delays or barriers to progress and communicate concerns to project leadership.

• Minimum requirement Bachelor of Science degree in related fields (e.g. Natural Resources, Environmental Science, Environmental Management).
• Minimum 10 years related experience in Land Management, Land Use Planning, Long-Term Stewardship, Environmental Governance and Regulatory Strategy, and other related fields.
• Ability to demonstrate working level knowledge of Hanford Site mission, land development policies, procedures and activities.
• Extensive experience using MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Excel, and/or other MS Office tools.

• Master’s degree in related fields (e.g. Natural Resources, Environmental Science, Environmental Management).
• Preference given to candidate who have experience with stakeholder & tribal engagement, and federal and state agency partnerships.
• Prefer candidate with proven experience and demonstrated capabilities in Hanford-related land management, long-term stewardship and real estate functions, including documentation, leases, strategy and improvement projects that involve BPA or other stakeholders.
• Familiarity with compliance requirements related to DOE, EPA, FAA, Washington State Department of Health, and other interface agencies involved with land management and site stewardship.
• Proven ability to interface successfully with senior level management.
• Ability to work with government, regulatory agencies, and contractor personnel to solve problems and formulate strategies for success.
• Working level knowledge of DOE program and project management practices, policies, and procedures.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the requirements of federal and state regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Salary is commensurate with education and experience and may range between $125k to $155k annually.
