Overview: The purpose of this study is to refine a gender identity development questionnaire. This will be accomplished through conducting cognitive interviews with a sample of participants diversified across sexuality and gender-related experiences in order to ensure the questionnaire equitably captures key components of gender identity development across different lived experiences. Cognitive interviews will be conducted in order to optimize clarity, comprehension, question design, acceptability, as well as reduce response error and enhance questionnaire validity.
