The Social Work Lead at Tri-Cities Chaplaincy plays a vital role in providing compassionate care and support to hospice and palliative care patients and their families. This position is responsible for leading and overseeing the social work team, ensuring that the emotional, psychological, and social needs of patients and their families are met. The Lead Social worker collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and reports to the Social Work Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications- Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
- Experience in a healthcare or hospice setting.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to end-of-life care.
- Knowledge of ethical and cultural considerations in patient care.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team.
- Ability to work a rotating weekend schedule with periodic Administrative and Holiday on-call.
- Strong understanding of and respect for considerations pertaining to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion of patient care.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation, as driving is an essential function of this role. Must meet insurance eligibility requirements.
- Must have reliable transportation and the ability to independently drive within Tri-Cities Chaplaincy’s service areas to provide in-home patient and family services and support in clients' homes, facilities, and community locations.
- This position is designated as Safety Sensitive. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen which includes cannabis testing in Washington State.
- Ability to report to the assigned work location(s) as scheduled and maintain consistent, reliable attendance.
- Leadership experience in a hospice or healthcare setting.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English, with the ability to speak, read, write, and communicate effectively in both languages.

CompensationHiring Range: $35.34/hour - $42.50/hour
Premiums- $2.50/hour Weeknight
- $2.25/hour Weekend day
- $4.75/hour Weekend Night
- $4.00/hour On Call Standby
