Registered Respiratory Therapist - NICU (Nights)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00). Weekends required every other week.

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will work primarily within a Level 3 NICU, with the ability to float between units as needed. The position requires a strong background in neonatal respiratory care and the ability to work autonomously in both NICU and Level 2 trauma center settings. Flexibility is essential, and all staff members, including full-time employees, are classified as VAR for the unit.

Provide care for neonates requiring respiratory support, including intubation and ventilator management.

Perform arterial blood gas analysis and interpret results.

Assist in high-risk deliveries and manage critical respiratory conditions.

Utilize advanced respiratory therapies and technologies, including BiPAP, CPAP, and high-frequency ventilation.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, radiology, and emergency services.

Valid Washington State Respiratory Therapist license in hand.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level 3 NICU setting.

Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT.

Experience with Epic electronic charting system preferred.
