RRT – NICU
Schedule:
- Weekends:
Every other weekend
- Shift assignment:
Day or night shift, confirmed 1–2 weeks prior
Assignment Details:
- Orientation: 40 hours
- Unit: NICU (Level III/IV) - Daily census: ~300 beds
Requirements:
- License: WA license in hand
- Certifications:
RRT or CRT, BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS
- Years of experience:
Minimum of 1 year in a relevant unit; preferred 2 years - EMR:
Epic experience required
- Unit-specific skills:
Experience in NICU Level III or IV;
Level 3 NICU and Level 2 Adult ICU experience;
Neuro Trauma ICU experience preferred; experience with Bunnell jet ventilation highly preferred
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Provide respiratory care to neonates, infants, and pediatrics in a critical care setting.
- Perform neonatal critical care and NICU procedures including intubation, NRP, and suctioning.
- Administer and manage mechanical ventilation, including high-frequency and jet ventilation.
- Conduct respiratory diagnostics such as ABG interpretation.
- Participate in high-risk deliveries and provide emergency respiratory support.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in respiratory care.

- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 listed holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) - Must be flexible to float between departments or sister facilities
