Respiratory Therapist – NICU
Licensure:
Washington state license (compact license must be in hand at submission)
Certifications:
RRT, CRT, NRP, PALS (or ENPC), ACLS, BLS
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year; 2 years preferred
EMR:
Experience with Epic required
Skills:
- Neonatal airway management and intubation support (including direct neonatal intubation)
- Mechanical ventilation management (including high-frequency/oscillator/HFJV knowledge)
- CPAP/BiPAP/Bubble CPAP, HFNC, nitric oxide
- ABG collection/interpretation, arterial/umbilical blood gases
- Tracheostomy care, suctioning (ETT/NT), extubation, ventilator weaning
- High-risk delivery assistance and neonatal resuscitation
Compliance / Notes:
Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Pre-approved time off allowed: one
All staff considered VAR for the unit; manager attempts to keep consistent shift but assignments confirmed 1–2 weeks in advance
