Under the direction of the Patient Access/Central Scheduling Coordinator & Patient Access/Scheduling Manager, provides training to existing and new hires in scheduling, verifies orders, schedules, registers, verifies insurance coverage and benefits, creates estimates, and obtains pre-certification, referral or authorizations as needed per insurance requirements;
Participates in the collection of up-front revenue due to the facility;
Provides quality customer service to internal and external customers; and remains responsible for obtaining accurate patient information to ensure patient satisfaction; patient safety, and hospitals quality measures are met.

Shift Details:
Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Day shift.

• 3 years Central scheduling experience.

• Coursework/Training:
  Medical terminology.
• Upon hire: CHAA
• Medical setting experience.
• Data entry, medical terminology and insurance experience.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
