Travel Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer – Richland, Washington

Join a hospital-based team as a Travel Echo Technologist or Cardiac Sonographer in Richland, WA, and use your cardiac imaging expertise during a 13-week assignment. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced sonographer who provides high-quality adult and pediatric echocardiography across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and critical care settings. You will work alongside another sonographer while performing a diverse range of diagnostic cardiac ultrasound studies in a supportive clinical environment.

Located in southeastern Washington’s scenic Tri-Cities region, Richland offers sunny weather, access to the Columbia River, outdoor recreation, and a welcoming community with local wineries, dining, and cultural attractions.

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020–$2,170
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 26, 2026
• Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 10-hour days, generally 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; start and end times may vary
• Call: May be required from approximately 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.; call expectations will be determined by the team
• Patient Population: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Documentation: Epic experience required

• At least 1 year of relevant experience as an Echo Technologist or Cardiac Sonographer; 2 or more years of experience is preferred
• Demonstrated experience performing both adult and pediatric echocardiography
• Experience with inpatient, outpatient, emergency department, and ICU echocardiography studies
• Experience with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), portable studies, stress echocardiograms, and contrast imaging
• Current BLS certification
• CCI RCS and/or RDCS certification; an applicable specialty certification may be accepted
• Active authorization to practice in Washington, with a compact credential in hand when applicable
• Proficiency with 2-D and 3-D echocardiography, M-mode, color Doppler, continuous-wave Doppler, and pulsed-wave Doppler
• Experience with PACS and cardiac ultrasound equipment, including GE systems
• Ability to assess and image complex congenital and postsurgical cardiac conditions is strongly preferred
• Perform comprehensive adult and pediatric echo cardiographic examinations in inpatient and outpatient settings
• Complete routine, portable, emergency department, and ICU echocardiography studies
• Provide TEE support and perform pharmacologic stress echocardiograms and treadmill stress echocardiograms as qualified
• Acquire and optimize diagnostic cardiac images using 2-D, 3-D, M-mode, color Doppler, continuous-wave Doppler, and pulsed-wave Doppler techniques
• Evaluate complex congenital, vascular, valvular, and postsurgical cardiac conditions
• Provide safe, compassionate care for patients ranging from neonates and infants to geriatric adults
• Follow isolation precautions, PPE requirements, contrast-imaging protocols, and departmental safety standards
• Document studies accurately in Epic and PACS while maintaining clear communication with the interdisciplinary care team
• Participate in rotating weekend coverage and assigned call responsibilities
