About the Role:

As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for guests, playing a crucial role in creating a welcoming and positive experience from the moment they arrive. Your primary objective is to manage guest flow efficiently, ensuring timely seating and minimizing wait times while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. You will coordinate with the FOH to optimize table turnover and accommodate special requests or reservations.

This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and resolve any guest concerns promptly. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute significantly to the overall satisfaction and retention of guests, enhancing the establishment's reputation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role.
• Basic proficiency with reservation and seating management systems.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and manage a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working as a host or in a similar front-of-house position.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and restaurant management software.
• Multilingual abilities to assist a diverse guest population.
• Training in conflict resolution or customer service excellence.
• Knowledge of local dining trends and menu items.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression.
• Manage the reservation system and walk-in guest seating to optimize table availability.
• Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate seating and service flow.
• Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and resolve any issues or complaints professionally.
• Maintain an organized and clean host station and waiting area.
