The Human Resources (HR) Generalist is responsible for the day-to-day administration and core HR functions, including recruiting and onboarding, employee relations, performance management, leave administration, benefit support, HR compliance, and employee records management. This role serves as a key operational partner to supervisors and employees while ensuring HR practices align with agency policies, employment laws, and agency values. The HR Generalist works under the direction of the HR Supervisor and exercises sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality in all matters.
Minimum Qualifications- Minimum of two (2) years of progressive HR experience. Equivalent education and experience considered.
- Professional certification from SHRM or HRCI or willing to obtain within twenty-four (24) months of employment
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems, applicant tracking systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and leadership.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license, as driving is an essential function of this role. Must meet insurance eligibility requirements.
- This position is designated as Safety Sensitive. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen which includes cannabis testing in Washington State.
- Ability to report to the assigned work location(s) as scheduled and maintain consistent, reliable attendance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Healthcare Profession Recruiting IE Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care industry recruiting.

CompensationHiring Range: $28.00- $34.13/hour

The starting pay range offered to new hires, depending on experience and qualifications. At Tri-Cities Chaplaincy, we carefully establish pay ranges for our positions by taking various factors into account, including education, certifications, knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions. These ranges are tailored to match the diverse programs and services we offer. Our goal is to ensure fair compensation for candidates based on these factors while maintaining internal peer equity.
