Responsible for managing the overall operations of a Jack in the Box unit. Uses discretion in daily management decisions with accountability for ensuring effective execution of the Service Profit Chain (SPC) and Brand Promise. Develops team to provide excellent internal service and external service, build restaurant sales and profit while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Internal Service:
Recruits, selects, trains, develops, and evaluates restaurant employees. Monitors staffing levels, implements training systems, and identifies internal candidates for management positions. Fosters a safe and employee‑friendly environment and recognizes high performance. - External Service:
Manages daily activities to achieve excellence in operational performance. Provides an exceptional guest experience through consistent training and accountability. - Sales & Profits:
Analyzes operational and financial performance using management information tools, identifies trends, and implements action plans to increase sales and profitability while monitoring costs and budget adherence.
- Culture Fostering – Demonstrates passion for Jack in the Box, manages with integrity, listens, and communicates effectively.
- Training & Coaching – Motivates and develops employees, provides timely feedback, and fosters promotion.
- Guest Focus – Passionate about high‑quality guest experience, manages fast‑paced service.
- Food Quality/Safety – Conscientious of food safety and cleanliness.
- Business Management – Adaptable, decisive, organized, and promotes change initiatives.
- Additional duties – Performs related duties as required.
- Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 1+ years as Associate Manager or 2 years as First Assistant Manager (internal promotion) OR 3 years managing a service concept with full P&L responsibility (external recruit).
- Knowledge &
Skills:
Minimum 18 years old, must complete Restaurant Manager training, Serv Safe certified, proficient with personal computers, must possess valid driver’s license, insurance, and vehicle for travel. - Physical Requirements: Stand/walk 85‑95% shift, lift 10‑65 lbs, move freely, operate equipment, use computer keyboard.
