Company Description SIGN Fracture Care International is a 501(c)(3) humanitarian aid organization dedicated to improving orthopaedic trauma care worldwide. Guided by the vision "To Create Equality of Fracture Care Throughout the World," SIGN partners year-round with more than 450 hospitals in 60 low- and middle-income countries. The organization has provided free orthopaedic implants to patients in need, helping heal more than 450,000 individuals who might otherwise lack access to quality fracture treatment.
SIGN also serves as a first responder in major disasters, including the Indonesian tsunami, the Pakistan earthquake, and the Haitian earthquakes. Team members are united by a mission-driven culture focused on global health impact and collaboration with medical professionals around the world.
Role: SIGN is seeking a Business Services Director to serve as an executive champion and operational leader for our organization. This role will lead and optimize SIGN’s financial, legal/compliance, technology, human resources, and business operations.
As a strategic leader, the Director will optimize cohesion, efficiency, and cross-operational harmony to these functional areas. Reporting directly to the CEO, they will collaborate closely with internal leadership to champion legal/regulatory compliance, financial efficiency, proactive risk management, and technology optimization organization wide. The Director’s goal is to build resilient systems that support, resource, and elevate the day-to-day work of our established teams.
Position Responsibilities:Executive Leadership & Oversight of Business Services
Provide strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight for financial, legal/compliance, technology, human resources, and business operations.
Compliance, Risk Management & Internal CollaborationCollaborate with internal leadership to ensure strict legal adherence, proactive risk management, and regulatory compliance organization wide.
Strategic PlanningWork with the CEO and leadership team to develop strategic plans that support SIGN's mission
Qualifications:- Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Technology, Health Sciences, or a related field. An MBA or advanced professional degree is desired. - Professional
Experience:
3+ years of progressive leadership experience in business operations, corporate services, or financial management. - Cross-Functional Knowledge:
Deep expertise in running complex financial, human resources, technology, or regulatory operations. - Strategic Resource Management:
Demonstrated experience analyzing operational expenses and strategically allocating resources (such as technology infrastructure) to maximize efficiency. - Compliance &
Risk Management:
Strong familiarity with navigating legal frameworks, labor laws, financial controls, and regulatory compliance standards is preferred.
- Pay and Benefits:
$100-160k depending on experience. - Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, FSA, HSA, 401K with Employer match up to 4%.
- 32 hours of personal time annually and up to 96 hours of Vacation annually.
