Wage

$26–$33/hr DOE with potential for overtime.

Shift

Swing Shift, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, Monday–Friday.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
  • Analyze malfunctions and repair, rebuild, and maintain equipment.
  • Safely operate and inspect machines or equipment to diagnose defects.
  • Dismantle and reassemble equipment, using hoists and hand tools.
  • Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges.
  • Replace defective engines and subassemblies, such as transmissions.
  • Test overhauled equipment to ensure operating efficiency (must be able to operate all equipment).
  • Weld broken parts and structural members.
  • May direct workers cleaning parts and assisting with assembly and disassembly of equipment.
  • Should have skills in basic fabrication.
  • Record time and parts used on the appropriate forms.
  • Perform general cleaning of work and maintenance areas.
  • Assist other maintenance department staff to ensure operational efficiency of vehicles.
  • Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.
  • Communicate promptly with supervisors about any material flaws.
  • Maintain regular and timely attendance.
  • Participate in and promote an inclusive environment.
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Good depth perception and coordination to operate machine controls.
  • Must pass pre‑employment physical exam and controlled substance testing.
  • Safety‑minded professional with good performance and attendance.
  • Ability to work independently, without direct supervision.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends/holidays.
  • Ability to work and communicate well with supervisors, truck drivers, heavy equipment operators, and other employees.
  • Ability to conform to and maintain OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and all other company or state rules and regulations.
  • Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions.
  • Willingness to learn and perform a variety of job tasks.
  • Current U.S. authorization to work or ability to obtain such authorization without company assistance prior to start date.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Previous fleet equipment experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license; CDL Class A or B preferred.
  • Diesel experience preferred.
Physical Requirements

The role requires the employee to sit, climb, and use hands to signal and handle equipment. The employee must occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50–75 lbs. Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Work Environment

The work environment includes wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and extreme cold and/or heat. The noise level is usually moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
