System One is seeking a CNC Machinist to join our team in Richland, WA. This is an outstanding contract-to-hire opportunity for a skilled machinist looking to build a long-term career with a global leader in the nuclear energy industry.

$32-$47 an hour based upon experience

 Responsibilities  

+  Set up and operate CNC and conventional lathes, mills, grinders, heat treat furnaces, and saw equipment.

+  Interpret engineering drawings, solid models, blueprints, and specifications to manufacture high-precision components.

+  Support fabrication of components used in nuclear fuel assemblies.

+  Perform machine setup, troubleshooting, and precision machining.

+  Maintain quality documentation and inspection records.

+  Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.

+  Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist other manufacturing areas as needed.

 Qualifications  

+  High school diploma or equivalent.

+  Minimum 5 years of CNC machining or related experience.

+  Machine Technology Certificate preferred.

+  Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.

+  Strong mechanical aptitude and precision machining skills.

+  

Experience with shop inspection tools and quality measurements.

+  Knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, jigs, and manufacturing processes is a plus.

+  Excellent communication, dependability, and attention to detail.

 Requirements  

+  Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

+  Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.

+  Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and work in a manufacturing environment.

+  Must be authorized to work in the United States.
