Position: Communications Project Manager (Consultant)

Communications Project Manager (Consultant)

The Communications Project Manager (Consultant) reports to AG Consulting Partners, Inc. This position is open to candidates residing in Washington State or Texas.

Pay range: $90,000 – $120,000 per year, based on skills and experience. The compensation package may include additional benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that align with corporate and product branding objectives.
  • Manage end-to-end communication projects, including project planning, timeline creation, budget management, and milestone tracking.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders, providing strategic communication counsel to protect and enhance the organization’s image and reputation.
  • Oversee the development and production of diverse communication materials (press releases, articles, social media content, newsletters, presentations, website copy), ensuring consistency and quality across all channels.
  • Implement crisis communication plans to effectively manage and mitigate challenges during emergencies.
  • Measure the impact of communication efforts through key performance indicators (KPIs), audience research, feedback collection, and data analysis to inform future strategies.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure cohesive messaging and alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Drive executive communications, including thought‑leadership initiatives, keynote speeches, internal and external messaging strategies, and social‑media engagement for executives.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices, maintaining a high level of quality and consistency in all communication activities.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in communications, marketing operations, program management, or project management, demonstrating expertise in managing complex communication projects.
  • Residency in Washington State or Texas.
  • A portfolio showcasing your communication work (written content, presentations, executive messaging, digital campaigns).
  • Experience developing and executing communication strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Experience with digital and social media platforms for communication purposes.
  • Experience supporting senior executives in an executive communications role.
  • Experience in integrated marketing communications, coordinating various channels to deliver a unified message.
  • Familiarity with crisis communication planning and execution.
  • Experience in the technology industry.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
You might also have:
  • Recent experience supporting the Microsoft client (within the past 2–3 years).
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP).
