Position OverviewThe Hospice House Registered Nurse (RN) provides compassionate and comprehensive care to terminally ill patients and their families in a Hospice House setting. The RN, under the supervision of the Hospice House Nurse Manager, identifies patient and family needs and coordinates services to deliver preventive and supportive care. The RN also oversees the work of LPNs, CNAs, and volunteers in the Hospice House.
Additionally, the RN demonstrates a commitment to the philosophy, goals, and objectives of hospice care by utilizing teaching, assessment, and intervention skills to enhance the quality of life for patients and families.
- Provide compassionate and comprehensive care to terminally ill patients and their families in a Hospice House setting.
- Identify patient and family needs and coordinate services to deliver preventive and supportive care.
- Oversee the work of LPNs, CNAs, and volunteers in the Hospice House.
- Demonstrate commitment to the philosophy, goals, and objectives of hospice care by utilizing teaching, assessment, and intervention skills to enhance quality of life for patients and families.
- Current Washington State license as a professional registered nurse
- Availability for day, night, and weekend shifts as needed and as scheduled by the supervisor
- Reliable transportation and ability to independently drive within Tri-Cities Chaplaincy’s service areas to provide in-home patient and family services and support in clients' homes, facilities, and community locations
- Designated as Safety Sensitive. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen including cannabis testing in Washington State
- Certification in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Washington State Food Worker Card issued by the Department of Health
- Ability to report to assigned work location(s) as scheduled and maintain consistent, reliable attendance
- Bilingual in Spanish and English, with the ability to speak, read, write, and communicate effectively in both languages

CompensationHiring Range: $37.67/hour - $57.22/hour
