Machinist-Receipt Inspector

Contract 6-12 months with possible extension.

System One is seeking a qualified Quality Technician to support onsite inspection activities for components used in the fabrication of nuclear fuel assemblies. This position follows a structured inspection program and is ideal for candidates with backgrounds in machining or quality control.
Key Responsibilities- Review fabrication and assembly documentation to ensure compliance with internal procedures and customer specifications.
- Evaluate documentation from other departments and recommend appropriate dispositions.
- Perform detailed reviews of supplier documentation, including specifications, drawings, and purchase orders.
- Create Condition Reports (CRs) as needed to document nonconformances.
- Draft and revise quality-related documents such as procedures, Standard Work Instructions (SWIs), and operator aids.
- Ensure quality records are archived accurately and in accordance with company standards.
- Conduct physical inspections and measurements of components to verify conformance with quality requirements.
- Use technical knowledge and judgment to identify quality risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Familiarity with standard quality practices, inspection processes, and industry documentation standards.
- Intermediate computer proficiency (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, quality systems).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, procedures, and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and compliance adherence.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and a 7‑year background check.
