Senior Implementation Manager

Overview

ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Senior Implementation Manager role provides technical support services and, in some instances, direct oversight and governance for Mechanical Enterprise Risk projects within the organization, enabling Project Managers to execute deliverables with high quality, safety, and efficiency while meeting schedule and budget targets. The individual is recognized as an authority and subject matter expert in their field, with extensive hands-on experience and a strong understanding of best practices and current code requirements, leveraging this expertise to evaluate execution strategies, challenge assumptions, and validate project readiness for successful delivery.

This role directly contributes to improving project outcomes by enhancing schedules, reducing costs, and mitigating or eliminating risks, working closely with the CPM Manager or RMM Manager and collaborating with Project Managers on Enterprise Risk projects. When these projects fall on the refueling outage critical path, the position is instrumental in identifying opportunities to reduce critical path durations, resulting in significant cost savings by preserving critical path hours, shortening outage timelines, and proactively preventing risks that could extend outage durations and increase costs.

This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.

Pay range: $84.67 - $114.48

• Conduct technical reviews of key project documentation to identify opportunities to refine strategies, optimize resource utilization, improve schedule performance, and enhance overall quality.
• Perform iterative reviews to identify errors, gaps, or misconceptions that must be corrected to ensure successful project implementation.
• Review key project documentation, including but not limited to:
• Project schedules (both work management and project lifecycle)
• Implementation means and methods (internal and vendor)
• Risk register
• Work orders and associated documentation (e.g., weld records, ASME Section XI repair and replacement plans, field sketches)
• Quality control inspections and hold points
• Test and commissioning plans
• Clearance orders and turnover strategy
• Materials, tools, and specialty tooling
• Resource load boards, including mobilization and demobilization strategy
• Budgets and estimates, with focus on assumptions, constraints, unit rates, and wage rates
• Radiological strategies, including contamination controls, work scope considerations, and decontamination approaches
• Rigging and material handling plans
• Validate the quality of all Work Order Tasks (WOTs) associated with assigned scope prior to field execution, in accordance with Columbia work management processes (both online and outage).
• Remediate WOTs that lack quality, contain incorrect references, introduce error traps, or include poorly written instructions.
• Review, comment on, and recommend improvements to testing and acceptance plans (e.g., factory, shop, site, mock-up, post-modification).
• Identify activities or processes that would benefit from mock-ups and provide guidance to ensure they are effective and impactful.
• Communicate relevant personal operating experience and identify applicable industry or similar operating experiences related to project activities.
• Develop response strategies based on operating experience insights.
• Serve as the ASME Person in Charge (PIC) for Section XI repair and replacement scope, as needed.
