A Day in the Life

As the Sales Representative, you’ll play a key role in helping customers find modular building solutions that fit their needs. You’ll develop strategies to identify, pursue, and close opportunities for renting and selling modular buildings across multiple industries. This role combines business development, project coordination, and customer service—ideal for someone ready to learn, grow, and make an impact. In this position you will generate new business, build customer relationships and work collaboratively across the organization to provide accurate estimates, execute the project, and make sure we do things right the first time, every time.

Requirements
  • Must live in the Spokane/Airway Heights or Tri-Cities/Richland WA areas and able to travel in the region.
  • 3+ years of sales experience.
  • Commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to articulate ideas in verbal, email and other written formats.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport.
  • Understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
  • High level of motivation and a passion for sales.
  • Effective negotiation and closing skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Internet and other customer databases.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a process driven environment.
  • Effective time management and ability to work in a process driven environment.
  • Confident, assertive, quick‑thinking and able to make decisions within established guidelines.
  • Demonstrated skills in project and time management.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory as needed based on business needs.
  • In certain states, candidates must obtain the HCD Commercial Coach Salesperson License within 10 weeks of their start date.

Responsibilities
  • Develop new and grow existing business to increase profits for the branches/region.
  • Identify, pursue, and close sales opportunities across various industries.
  • Build relationships with potential customers to establish trust and rapport.
  • Ensure all customer requirements and specifications are documented and met.
  • Conduct site visits and presentations to showcase modular building options.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Prepare reports on sales activities, results, and market trends.
  • Build trust by understanding customer needs and presenting tailored solutions.
  • Demonstrate product knowledge to answer customer questions, track project progress, and ensure excellent service throughout the project life.
  • Assist in the development of marketing plans to support sales activities.
  • Develop strong relationships with manufacturers of modular buildings, and sub‑contractors for transportation, installation and service.
  • Follow established processes in sales and implementation of the project and contribute ideas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, manufacturers, and subcontractors for smooth project execution.
  • Maintain accurate records in the division’s database on customer quotes, specifications and special requests; meet minimum entry requirements daily.
  • Review and interpret purchase orders, verifying quantities, prices, and delivery schedules, ensuring all details align with contract terms.
  • Maintain a pipeline of prospects and follow up regularly to nurture relationships.
  • Develop relationships within various networking organizations or industry associations.
  • Achieve/exceed sales related quotas and goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
