Schedule: Full-Time

Standard Nuclear is fueling America’s nuclear renaissance at industrial scale. Our mission is to deliver the essential building blocks of nuclear power—enabling cost-effective, safe, and secure energy for the world.

The Operations Manager in Richland is responsible for managing the development of an advanced fuel production project, to include equipment delivery and installation, commissioning readiness, and project coordination activities at Standard Nuclear’s partner manufacturing site in Richland, WA. This role serves as Standard Nuclear’s on-site project lead, owning the schedule, action tracking, issue escalation, partner coordination, and execution visibility required to bring the operation online successfully.

This position will work closely with Standard Nuclear engineering, operations, project leadership, vendors, and Framatome site teams to ensure process modules, equipment, utilities, documentation, installation activities, and commissioning requirements are aligned. This includes the preparation, review, and implementation of manufacturing documentation to include System Design Descriptions (SDDs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Environmental Safety & Health (ES&H) documentation, and other programmatic requirements for a commercial fuel cycle facility.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on project manager who can drive timelines, coordinate technical stakeholders, manage risks, and maintain clear communication between Standard Nuclear and partner teams. This role requires strong organization, practical field judgment, and the ability to keep installation and commissioning work moving in a complex technical environment.

  • Maintain action trackers, issue logs, readiness checklists, risk registers, and project status reports
  • Coordinate daily and weekly execution priorities with Standard Nuclear and partner site teams
  • Identify schedule risks early and drive escalation, decision-making, and resolution
Installation & Commissioning Coordination
  • Coordinate installation and commissioning activities for manufacturing equipment, process modules, and supporting systems
  • Track module delivery, installation progress, utility readiness, documentation status, punch list items, and commissioning requirements
  • Support readiness reviews, walkdowns, field checks, and transition planning from installation to commissioned operation
  • Ensure required inputs, owners, documentation, and follow‑up actions are clearly identified and tracked
  • Help ensure installation and commissioning work is completed safely, on schedule, and in alignment with project requirements
Partner & Site Interface
  • Serve as Standard Nuclear’s primary on-site project interface with Framatome for installation and commissioning activities
  • Coordinate with partner manufacturing, maintenance, facilities, safety, quality, and project teams to support execution
  • Ensure Standard Nuclear priorities, technical requirements, open actions, and decisions needed are clearly communicated to site stakeholders
  • Maintain professional, practical, and timely communication across company and partner teams
  • Help prevent gaps between engineering intent, field execution, partner expectations, and project schedule
Technical Coordination
  • Work with Standard Nuclear engineering and technical teams to resolve installation, integration, equipment, and process questions
  • Support review and coordination of drawings, equipment documentation, procedures, commissioning plans, and technical deliverables
  • Coordinate input from engineering, operations, quality, EH&S, maintenance, facilities, vendors, and partner teams
