PRN | various shifts. Job Type: In-person.

Job Location:

Richlands, VA. Hourly rate: $17.16 – $20.38 per hour.

• Works under direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Works collaboratively with patient care team.
• Performs direct patient care under direction, delegation, and supervision of a registered nurse.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to supervising RN.
• Maintains positive professional relationships with patients/families, coworkers, and health care teams.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.
• Supports performance improvement philosophy.

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

School of Nursing 3rd year student or higher.
