Qualifications:
  • Master’sdegreein nursing
  • Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) licenseinthe

    Commonwealth of Virginia
  • National Board Certificationasa Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) throughAANPor AANC.
  • Activeand unrestricted DEAlicensewithbuprenorphine/MATprescribingauthority(or willingness to obtain).
  • Experiencedeliveringprimarycare services.
  • Experience in Medication-Assisted Treatment(MAT) orwillingnesstoreceive training.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Abilitytoworkindependentlyandcollaborativelywithinamultidisciplinary team.
  • Strong clinical,assessment,documentation,and communication skills.
  • Commitment to evidence-basedpracticeandpatient-centered care.
  • Excellentcommunicationandinterpersonal skills.
  • Abilitytocollaborateeffectivelywithamultidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conductcomprehensiveassessmentsofpatientswithsubstanceuse disorder
  • Develop and implement individualized treatmentplansthatincludemedication-assisted treatment
  • Prescribe and managemedicationsforsubstanceusedisordersinaccordancewith established protocols
  • Monitorpatientprogress,includingmedicationadherenceandresponseto treatment
  • Delivercomprehensiveprimarycareservicestopatients,includingpreventivemedicine and managing of acute and chronic conditions
  • Educateandcounselpatientson prevention strategies and treatment adherence
  • Collaborate with licensed counselors and support staff toensurecoordinated and integrated care
  • Maintainaccurateandtimelydocumentationintheelectronichealthrecord (EHR)
  • Remain uptodatewithbest practices and guidelinesinaddictionmedicineand primary care
  • Performalldutiesinaprofessional and competent manner,utilizing clinical expertise and sound medical judgment in patient care.
  • Clinicaldecisionsshall be madeinaccordancewiththenursepractitioner'sbest medical judgment.
  • The Medical Director or Supervising Physician reserves theauthoritytodesignate patients for evaluation by the nurse practitioner.
  • Adhere to all established rules, regulations, policies, and procedures set forth by the Medical Director, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
