R | Trades Assistant Fabrication , day shift, Mon to Fri early finish

We are urgently seeking a Trade Assistant for work with a highly reputable business located in Carole Park. The role will be a casual to permanent assignment where you will be responsible for providing general assistance to the fabrication team with experience assisting Boilermakers and Fabricators preferred. The position has full- time hours, day shift Monday to Thursday 7.00 am to 3.20 pm Friday 7.00 am - 1.00 pm, hourly rate starting at $40 per hour.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Current Drivers Licence and own reliable transport
• Current Forklift Licence and experience required, side loader experience desirable
• Reasonable physical fitness and experience manual handling and use of power tools
• Organised with excellent communication skills
• Be dedicated to safe working practice and have a positive and team focused attitude.
• Two contactable work referees
• Availability to start asap

What you will be doing as a Fabrication Trades Assistant:

• Review work orders ensure materials are available and pre picked and delivered to bay
• Strap and move fabricated work to pre-gal storage
• Use of counterbalance and side loader forklifts to transfer products from factory to yard as required
• Cutting, grinding and deburring of poles and doors
• Labelling stamping and engraving of components
• General labouring and assisting fabricators.
