About the Role:
The Training Coordinator is an essential leader responsible for supporting the Training Supervisor and the broader Supply Chain department. This position focuses on the end-to-end development of our associates, from coordinating and facilitating New Hire Orientation (NHO) to managing Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) training and certifications. You will act as a critical resource for driving overall training compliance and safety within the warehouse environment.
You’ll Do
- Facilitation:
Conduct and facilitate engaging New Hire Orientation (NHO) sessions and provide hands-on training for all new associates. - Onboarding Compliance:
Ensure completion of all onboarding tasks, including drug testing administration, I-9 processes, Workday tasks, and annual compliance training. - Integration Support:
Conduct weekly new hire check-ins, host New Hire Graduation, and deliver "Pristine Manual Handling" sessions. - Compliance Drive:
Help drive compliance for all onsite training programs through the Learning Management System (LMS) and Axonify, updating reports daily. - Development:
Create training content to support process improvement and career development for Associates and Training Ambassadors.
- Program Coordination:
Coordinate and manage all PIV training and certifications for new and existing associates and supervisors in partnership with leadership. - Expertise & Safety:
Serve as a PIV training expert for all machine types and vehicle manufacturers within the site, upholding Wayfair’s high standard for safe operation. - Train the Trainer:
Own the coordination and facilitation of the Train the Trainer program for PIV Trainers. - Audits & Retraining:
Conduct audits and provide retraining as needed for bi-annual recertification, post-incident training, and additional equipment requirements. - Documentation:
Maintain detailed and thorough documentation and record-keeping for all training events and assessments.
- Flexibility:
Support various process paths during peak volume periods (up to 10%) or based on operational needs. - Site Engagement:
Create communication for site engagement and assist with facility cleanliness and 5S initiatives.
- Certifications:
PIV Certification is required. - Education:
High School diploma or GED is preferable. - Experience:
Previous warehouse experience and 2+ years of equipment operating experience preferred; prior training experience is a plus. - Skills:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong organizational attention to detail. - Computer
Skills:
Proficiency with basic computer skills, including Google Sheets, Google Slides, and inventory/order processing systems. - Leadership:
Ability to make decisions with little guidance based on policies and a desire to grow within the organization. - Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand/walk for up to a half shift and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted. - Schedule:
Requires a schedule that aligns with the New Hire Orientation Program; flexibility for some weekend work is a must.
