ABOUT THE POSITION

We are currently looking for one (1) Coordinator, Quality Assurance for a permanent, full-time role.

The Coordinator, Quality Assurance will be responsible for the final review and quality assurance of all Program Outlines, Program Profiles, exams, and assessment tools. They will also track the status, availability, and versions of exam and program documents, to ensure overall quality assurance for all Program Standards documents.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES QUALITY ASSURANCE
  • Ensure exams and all publicly available standards documents follow style guides and templates
  • Format, repair, and maintain exam banks in Shift IQ or other relevant software, including balancing exam forms
  • Communicate with team members on items requiring follow up or further consultation
  • Perform all final checks for online delivery of Skilled

    TradesBC Standardized Level and Qualification Examinations
  • Perform all final checks and publish Program Outlines, and Program Profiles & other external-facing PS documents (e.g. Record Books, Self‑Assessment Tools, Exam Breakdowns, Acronyms, and Formulas)
  • Review program trade web pages for consistency and accuracy
  • Send final copies of BC exams for implementation to the Assessments department
REPORTING & TEAM SUPPORT
  • Track relevant information on exam versions and program standards documents
  • Prepare and distribute status reports related to product development
  • Liaise with exam systems provider on exam development and reporting software, including performing User Acceptance Testing
  • Collaborate with appropriate team members to plan and deliver regular item construction standards training sessions
  • Coordinate the creation and maintenance of exam diagrams
  • Assist with management of exam feedback from candidates
  • Team projects as needed
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • High school or equivalent, and post‑secondary degree in Education or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of development and/or maintenance of educational products experience is required
  • Demonstrable experience and strong proficiency in technical writing and/or editing are required
  • Experience and ability with leading projects is required
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and general computer proficiency is required
  • Knowledge of Skilled

    TradesBC program standards and program development processes is an asset
COMPENSATION

Salary Band C: $65,421 - $88,512
