Overview
As a Strategy Analyst within the Office of Strategy Management, you will work under the direction of the Manager, Office of Strategy Management, to support enterprise and departmental strategic business planning, performance monitoring, assurance, and reporting. You will help coordinate planning and reporting activities across the organization to support consistent, timely, and meaningful information for decision-making.
You’ll apply your knowledge of strategic planning, research, and data analysis to assess information, identify risks, issues, and opportunities, and support the development, monitoring, assurance, and reporting of business plans and strategic initiatives. Working closely with managers, senior leaders, and peers, you will prepare planning and reporting materials, maintain visibility into progress and emerging issues, and support timely and consistent reporting against enterprise priorities.

Where you'll workAt WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines working remotely, and in our offices based on the operational needs of the position.
What you’ll do- Prepare strategic planning and assurance materials, including quarterly reports and presentations for departmental managers, senior management, the Enterprise Leadership Team (ELT), and/or Board of Directors (BOD)
- Coordinate the enterprise business planning process, including initiative intake, evaluation, and analysis to assess alignment with organizational priorities and identify key considerations, risks, dependencies, and resource needs
- Maintain planning and assurance frameworks, tools, and tracking processes to monitor strategic initiatives, identify risks and dependencies, and enable timely follow-up
- Work with internal teams to develop business performance measures to monitor progress, outcomes, and ongoing improvements
- Conduct research and analysis to inform business planning, assurance, performance monitoring, and reporting
- Coordinate and consolidate information across business areas to provide an enterprise view of strategic progress, emerging issues, and areas requiring attention
- Contribute to the evaluation of policy, regulatory, and legislative changes by gathering and analyzing evidence, evaluating impacts, and supporting effectiveness measurement reporting

We're looking for someone who can:
- Foster teamwork and collaboration in achieving business objectives and departmental priorities
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills in creating high-quality presentations to senior management and stakeholders on critical issues, priorities, and initiatives
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of organizational business processes, information systems applications and their interdependencies
- Utilize strong project management skills to manage multiple projects to project team staff and consultants in terms of leading, scheduling, and monitoring project activities
- Exhibit being comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with various variables including constant change and tight time frames
- A degree in business administration, public administration, accounting or equivalent discipline
- A minimum of 2 years of related experience such as management consulting, business analysis, strategic planning, change management, or project management
- A Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or other relevant professional certification is an asset
- Proven analytical and root cause analysis capabilities
