What will you be doing?

As a Tutor
, you will foster a supportive learning environment where children can collaborate with their peers, share experiences and build social skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Understanding and implementing the Bright Path Read With Me program
  • Working with students to improve their skills in certain subjects
  • Planning and preparing lessons for students
  • Engaging, encouraging, and motivating children to reach their goals
  • Evaluating students' progress and discussing results with families
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • Knowledge of provincial school curriculums and expected outcomes for students at various grade levels
  • Up-to-date knowledge of learning theories, techniques and resources
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in the English language
  • Must meet province requirements for childcare employment
  • Current Standard First Aid and infant child CPR
  • Current immunization and health assessment as per the local Minister of Health Requirements
