Role Overview

We are seeking both established professionals and driven, aspiring advisors to join our team in Mero Vancouver as a Life Insurance Advisor. In this role, you will act as a trusted partner to prospective and existing clients, assessing their unique financial protection needs and recommending tailored risk‑management solutions.

For experienced agents, this is an opportunity to elevate your practice by collaborating with internal wealth specialists to integrate advanced insurance strategies into comprehensive estate and corporate plans. For new agents, we provide the collaborative environment and foundational support needed to launch a successful career in wealth management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Consultation: Meet with prospective and existing clients to assess financial protection needs and deliver tailored life insurance solutions.
  • Business Development: Proactively generate new business through strategic networking, professional referrals, and community engagement.
  • Advanced Planning

    Collaboration:

    Partner with internal wealth management and tax specialists to align insurance structures with broader estate and corporate tax plans.
  • End-to-End Case Management: Prepare comprehensive proposals and efficiently manage the application, medical coordination, and underwriting processes.
  • Portfolio Reviews: Conduct regular reviews of existing client policies to ensure coverage remains optimized as their life or business milestones evolve.
  • Compliance & Professionalism: Maintain meticulous client records and adhere strictly to provincial regulatory and compliance standards.
Qualifications & Skills What You Bring
  • Licensing: Active LLQP (Life License Qualification Program) license in British Columbia is highly preferred; eligibility and commitment to obtain licensing will be considered for the right candidate.
  • Industry Acumen: Strong knowledge of life insurance products, riders, and financial planning concepts (or a proven aptitude to learn them quickly).
  • Relationship-Driven: Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build trust and maintain multi-generational client relationships.
  • Communication Mastery: Polished verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial and tax concepts simply.
  • Work Ethic: A self‑motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with excellent time‑management skills and a track record of meeting performance targets.
  • Integrity: A flawless record of ethical, compliant professional practice.
Preferred Experience
  • Background in life insurance sales, insurance brokerage, financial services, or banking.
  • Familiarity with the local Richmond and Greater Vancouver market business landscape.
