MANAGER OF TRAINING & COMPLIANCE AT PRIMEFLIGHT

The Manager of Training & Compliance is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive training programs for all staff, ensuring they meet the regulatory requirements and service standards of the airport/aviation industry. This role involves regularly reviewing and updating training materials in line with evolving regulations and best practices. You will conduct audits and assessments to verify compliance with internal policies and external regulatory bodies, addressing any discrepancies or areas for improvement.

Collaborating closely with various departments to identify training needs and develop tailored programs that enhance employee performance and ensure passenger safety. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and compliance awareness among all employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of training programs for all employees, ensuring compliance with airport regulations and service standards
  • Conduct regular training needs analyses to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement
  • Experience creating training materials and manuals to reflect the latest industry practices and regulatory requirements
  • Facilitate engaging training sessions, workshops, and seminars for various departments
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, making adjustments as necessary
  • Ensure all employees receive mandatory training for compliance with national and international aviation standards
  • Conduct regular compliance audits and inspections to identify any deviations from required standards
  • Implement corrective actions and follow-up measures to address non-compliance issues
  • Maintain up-to-date records of training and compliance documentation for audit purposes
  • Collaborate with management and operational teams to integrate compliance and training initiatives into daily operations
  • Stay informed about changes in legislation and industry standards that impact airport operations
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and compliance awareness among staff
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors during compliance reviews and audits
  • Provide support and guidance to departments on compliance-related matters
  • Lead and manage the training and compliance team, setting objectives and evaluating performance
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Eligible to work in Canada
  • Must possess a valid, provincially issued permanent driver’s license (e.g., Class 5 or Class G)
  • Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Minimum 3 years training experience
  • Several years of Management or Supervisory skills
  • Knowledge of the Aviation Industry
  • Ability to lead a team of trainers and their performance and accountability
  • You have a great attention to detail
  • Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices
