About the Role
This role offers an opportunity to build an exciting, long‑term career in a reputed non‑profit organization and inspire you to support a noble cause. As part of a successful team, you will play a significant role in the organization’s growth and in developing an integrated approach to increase revenue by expanding the donor base.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute events that raise public awareness of Al‑Ayn’s work with orphans.
Develop events targeting specific demographics to raise funds for the organization.
Establish relationships with schools, churches, mosques to arrange guided tours of our facility.
Identify collaboration opportunities with different community segments and present the organization’s activities.
Assist with contracts to secure event space and resources for conferences, fundraising dinners, seminars, and workshops.
Develop community‑benefit ting events that also support orphans.
Implement and refine the strategic events plan, making suggestions for improvement.
Work with the Office Manager to ensure trade‑show materials are available.
Create opportunities for the organization to set up stalls in high‑traffic areas.
Raise awareness of the organization’s activities to attract donations and orphan sponsor ships.
Identify influencers and engage them with the organization.
Ensure third‑party companies are aware of booth set‑up times, dismantling, and required assets for presentations.
Attend selected venues and assist with setup, facilitation, and teardown of booths.
Provide reports and implement processes to measure growth in the field.
Increase donors in the territory by engaging community members and building a strong network.
Participate in required events such as Ashura, Arba’een, World Orphan Day, etc.
Organize and facilitate on‑site and off‑site events hosted by Al‑Ayn Canada.
Collaborate closely with the Fundraising Coordinator and Marketing Manager to ensure event success.
Work with local community leaders to introduce Al‑Ayn Canada to their communities.
Identify local and national events in which Al‑Ayn Canada can participate.
Support the Marketing Manager as needed.
Work collaboratively with internal and external staff to maintain a team approach to all projects.
Be available to travel and attend events within Canada to support marketing strategies.
Complete tasks independently and provide analytics for services rendered.
Requirements
Post‑secondary education preferably in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline.
Minimum two years of experience in a relevant field.
Availability to travel and attend events within the GTA to support and promote the organization.
Valid driver’s license.
Capacity to work on weekends as required.
Genuine interest in charity and orphan care.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Fluency in English (speaking and writing). Knowledge of Arabic, Persian, Urdu/Hindi, or Gujarati is an asset.
