Event and Program Coordinator – Richmond Hill, ON
Al-Ayn Social Care Foundation Canada (ASCFC) is looking to expand its events and programs base and is currently seeking applications from self-motivated and passionate individuals who want to enhance their career in the non‑profit sector.
ASCFC is an independent humanitarian organization that aims to provide the best care to orphans and the needy living below the poverty line.
About the RoleThis role offers an opportunity to build a long‑term career in a reputed non‑profit organization and has strong potential for entry to a management level. As part of a successful team, you will play a significant role in the growth and development of the organization and help develop an integrated approach to increase revenues by expanding the donor base.
Key Role and Responsibilities- Plan and execute events that are appealing to the public and raise awareness of Al‑Ayn’s work with orphans.
- Develop events that target specific demographics and raise funds for the orphans.
- Establish relationships with schools, churches, mosques to arrange guided tours of our facility.
- Assist with contracts required to secure event space and resources for conferences, fundraising dinners, seminars and workshops.
- Develop events that benefit both the community and the orphans.
- Implement and fine‑tune suggestions to improve the strategic plan for events.
- Work with Office Manager to ensure trade show materials are available.
- Coordinate with third‑party companies on booth set‑up times, dismantle and assets for presentations.
- Attend selected venues and assist with setup, facilitation and tear down of booths.
- Participate in required events such as Ashura, Arba’een, World Orphan Day, etc.
- Organize and facilitate required clients for on‑site and off‑site events that Al‑Ayn Canada would host.
- Collaborate with Public Relations Coordinator, Fundraising Coordinator and Marketing Agency to ensure success.
- Work with local community leaders to introduce Al‑Ayn Canada to their communities.
- Find opportunities and collaborate for local and national events in which Al‑Ayn Canada can participate.
- Provide support to the marketing director where needed.
- Post‑secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Event Planning or a related discipline.
- Minimum two years of experience in coordinating and executing events and programs.
- Ability to travel and attend events within Canada to support marketing strategies.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Availability to work on weekends as required.
- Genuine interest in charity and orphan care.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Fluency in English (speaking and writing). Knowledge of Arabic, Persian, Urdu/Hindi, and Gujarati is an asset.
