Quilchena Golf and Country Club, established in 1925, is a member-owned, non-profit club situated on 120 acres of natural beauty in Richmond, BC. Offering stunning views of the ocean and the Coast Mountains, Quilchena is recognized as one of the premier golf facilities in the Pacific Northwest. The club is located just minutes from Vancouver International Airport and a short drive from Vancouver city.

Renowned for its privacy, exclusivity, and exceptional service, the club is a welcoming space for members to socialize, relax, and host memorable events, such as weddings, anniversaries, business meetings, and other gatherings.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a First Cook at our location in Richmond, BC. The First Cook will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, ensuring food safety and cleanliness standards are maintained, and collaborating with the culinary team to manage daily kitchen operations. Duties include menu preparation, cooking a variety of culinary dishes, managing kitchen supplies, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and supervising the kitchen team as needed.

The role contributes significantly to creating outstanding dining experiences for both members and guests at the club.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in culinary techniques, menu preparation, and cooking a variety of dishes
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen organization
  • Leadership and team management skills to supervise and support the kitchen staff
  • Effective communication and collaboration with other club teams
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and ensure high standards of service
  • Culinary certification or equivalent experience in a professional kitchen
  • Prior experience in banquet-style food preparation is an asset
