Reporting to the Special Finance Manager, as a Credit Specialist for the Open Road Auto Group’s F&I and Leasing Department, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related both to securing financing through our lender partners on behalf of our guests and various reporting needs for the department.

As a Credit Specialist for the Open Road Auto you will learn numerous aspects of auto finance and will become proficient in all departmental responsibilities.

Your contribution:
  • Working directly with guests to determine financial and credit history
  • Identifying guest’s current vehicle needs and payment requirements
  • Working with various auto finance lenders to secure suitable loan approvals for guests
  • Obtain required supporting documents to ensure compliance
  • Proactively identify guest’s future vehicle and payment requirements and create long-term follow-up plan
  • Ensure complete guest satisfaction throughout experience
Role and Responsibilities:
  • Determine guest’s vehicle needs and appropriately document them in the CRM
  • Create and review credit building program & be accountable to follow the plan with guests
  • Request, review, and submit all required lending documentation to secure a lease or finance approval for guest
  • Locate & present vehicle & finance/lease options as well as applicable extended service contracts/insurances/protection/service packages to the guest
  • Overcome reactions/objections of guests and present them the most beneficial/fitting options
  • Be in compliance with all legal requirements set out by regulatory bodies

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under strict timelines and work well in a demanding dynamic environment to meet overall objectives
  • Be result focused and detail orientated
  • Ability to work cooperatively with all levels of the organization and guests alike
  • Be or able to become VSA licensed
  • A valid BC Driver’s License with a good driving record
  • Ability and willingness to work on weekend and/or evening shifts
