Maintenance Technician Part-Time

Looking for an experienced 4th Class Power Engineer (5th class will be considered depending on experience) that is an energetic, team player. This opportunity is great for someone that wants to expand their knowledge in the maintenance field. Our plant has a variety of equipment a maintenance technician will benefit from to grow their maintenance knowledge/career. Also, Gate Gourmet has been designated as a millwright apprentice facility;

hours can be accumulated towards millwright hours.

• Carrying out general repairs as required within and the exterior of the facility
• Carrying out repairs on equipment, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, motor controls, pump seals, and motor bearings
• Welding and fabricating
• Preventative maintenance
• Monitoring and maintaining two high pressure boilers and 2 low pressure boilers
• General upkeep of the facility in a 24/7 steam & refrigeration plant
• Troubleshoot and repair industrial kitchen equipment

• Must have a 5th or 4th Class Power Engineering certificate
• Minimum 1 year experience as a maintenance tech working on electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, welding, commercial kitchen equipment, troubleshooting electrical faults and motor controls required

This is a hands‑on part‑time position, with shift work in a 24/7 unionized plant.

Rate of Pay: CA $36.90 per hour
