Red Seal Diesel Mechanic

Our client, Purolator, is seeking a Licensed Diesel Mechanic to join their team in Richmond, BC. The ideal candidate will have a Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanics License and Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving history.

Job Title: Red Seal Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic

Location: Richmond, BC

Pay Rate: $49.40/hour

• Diagnose and repair on‑/off‑road and heavy‑duty vehicles and equipment to meet preventive maintenance schedules, ensure proper function, and meet vehicle safety and quality goals
• Assist with entering data in the mechanic’s maintenance and repair database (e.g., Web Fleet Assistant (WFA))
• Communicate concerns or escalates unusually complex or persistent problems to the Foreman or other manager
• Responds to service calls for equipment breakdowns when no supervisor is available to assist in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues arising from the Control Room, Dispatch, or Drivers

• Certified Red Seal Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics license
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License (Class 1 preferred)
• 3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic is required
• Prior experience with computerized maintenance systems & procedures
• The ability to diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical problems with minimum vehicle downtime
• Demonstrated ability to work alone in fast paced environment
• A clear driving history and criminal history
• Must be able to perform annual safeties (CVIP)
