  • What are the Responsibilities?
  • Install and align machinery and equipment with precision.
  • Maintain, repair, and overhaul a wide range of equipment including:
    Diesel/gas engines Electric generators High-pressure compressors and blowers Large pumps, grinders, conveyors, turbines, and more
  • Service valves, meters, and piping systems across the region.
  • Keep conveyor systems running smoothly—chains, sprockets, drives, and compressors.
  • Maintain internal combustion engines and track service records.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues reported by Operators and take corrective action.
  • Share your knowledge with Operators and mentor junior Mechanics.
  • Assist with layout work and minor welding tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records and inventory of parts and materials.
  • Step in for the supervisor when needed.
  • Always work safely and in compliance with Work Safe BC regulations and company policies
  • What
    are the Requirements?
  • Red Seal Certification as a Millwright or Heavy Duty Mechanic
  • At least 4 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance and repair
  • Strong skills in machine fitting, welding, pipefitting, and precision tools (micrometers, lathes, milling machines, etc.)
  • Deep knowledge of large pump and engine systems
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to read blueprints
  • Self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions
  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal
  • Computer literacy, including Word, Excel, and CMMS systems
  • Commitment to safety and experience developing Safe Work Procedures
  • A reliable set of hand tools
  • Physical ability to perform all job duties
  • Flexibility to work shifts as needed
  • A valid BC driver’s license
