Apprentice AME for Structures “S”
Location:
Richmond, BC
Candidate would be hired on the bases and will become a licensed “S” ACA. Will be required to travel occasionally domestically and internationally.

Key Responsibilities- Follows approved repair/modification procedures for component or aircraft, consulting internal procedures that have been TC approved, OEM’s technical data, and work package instructions.
- Positions and aligns subassemblies in jigs or fixtures, using measuring instruments, following blueprint lines and index points. Inspects completed work to identify any needed rework before signing off; ensures that repaired components meet prescribed standards and tolerances.
- Performs serviceability tests on repairs using test equipment specified in technical manuals.
- Completes work package documentation by signing/stamping off after finishing all designated operations.
- Bolts, screws, or rivets accessories to fasten, support, or hang components and subassemblies.
- Cuts, trims, files parts, and verifies fitting tolerances to prepare for installation.
- Drills holes in structure and subassemblies, and attaches brackets, hinges, or clips to secure installation or to fasten subassemblies.
- Learn to meticulously inspect and test installed units, parts, and equipment, ensuring optimal fit, peak performance, and strict compliance with industry standards using advanced measuring instruments and precision test equipment.
- Installs units, parts, equipment, and components in structural assembly, according to blueprints and specifications, using hand tools and power tools.
- Locates and marks reference points and holes for installation of parts and components, using jigs, templates, and measuring instruments.
- Transport Canada approved training program Certificate e.g. BCIT, SAIT

$56,594 – $71,732 based on experience.
Work Schedule Choice- 8‑hour days, Monday to Friday (06:00‑14:15)
- 10‑hour days, Monday to Thursday (06:00‑16:30)
- 4 weeks vacation starting with the option to purchase an additional week through payroll deduction
- 10 days sick leave
- 13 statutory holidays observed
