Join the Richmond School District as a Locksmith, where your expertise in key systems and security hardware will keep our facilities safe. This position involves installation, maintenance, and repair tasks across all District sites.

The ideal candidate will utilize locksmith skills under the supervision of the Assistant Manager Maintenance, ensuring a secure learning environment for approximately 21,000 students. You will work independently and follow guidelines from a Senior Tradesperson while contributing to our commitment to excellence in education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Repair and maintain locks for District facilities

• Install and service door hardware, including panic systems

• Prepare estimates for new lock installations

• Maintain key inventories and master keys

• Respond to service and security system calls

Requirements:

• Grade 12 and BC Certificate in Locksmithing

• Two years of Journeyman experience in locksmith services

• Strong knowledge of locksmith techniques and procedures

• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence

• Good interpersonal skills
