As part of the Liquid Waste Services Department, you will utilize your mechanical skills to maintain, repair, and overhaul various essential equipment, including pumps and engines. You must effectively communicate and mentor junior mechanics while maintaining technical knowledge. This pivotal role ensures operational efficiency by addressing machine issues and training others in maintenance practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install and align machinery to specified tolerances
• Maintain and overhaul large pumps and engines
• Troubleshoot issues reported by operators
• Train junior mechanics in best practices
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations
Requirements:
• Grade 12 plus a Trades Qualification certificate
• Minimum four years' experience in mechanical maintenance
• Proficient in machine fitting and welding
• Strong analytical skills and effective communicator
• Valid B.C driver’s license and reliable hand tools
