On-Call Grounds Service Worker

The Richmond School District seeks an on-call Grounds Service Worker responsible for a range of physical maintenance tasks across its vast facilities. You will operate various tools and vehicles while collaborating with other tradespeople. This opportunity allows you flexibility to work part-time or full-time based on vacancies, and you’ll be integral to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform manual labour and equipment handling

• Maintain landscaping around District facilities

• Repair and install playgrounds and play areas

• Operate dump trucks and various tools

• Inspect vehicles and report maintenance defects

Requirements:

• Grade 12 graduation or equivalent

• 2 years of landscaping experience required

• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

• Valid class 5 BC Driver's License

• Ability to lift and perform manual labour
