This role will support the sales team by analyzing sales data, monitoring market trends, and providing insights to improve business decisions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis tools, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Collect, clean, and analyze sales data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for growth.
- Generate and maintain reports and dashboards to track sales performance, revenue, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Research industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer behavior to support pricing and sales strategies.
- Assist in sales forecasting by evaluating historical sales data and market demand.
- Provide data-driven insights to help optimize sales strategies and customer segmentation.
- Assess sales performance by product, region, and customer segment to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
- Maintain and update sales databases and CRM systems to ensure data accuracy.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, finance, and supply chain teams to align business objectives.
- Identify opportunities to enhance sales processes and reporting efficiency.
- Strong ability to analyze large datasets and generate actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, data visualization); experience with SQL, Power BI, or Tableau is a plus.
- Ability to ensure accuracy in reporting and data interpretation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting insights to stakeholders.
- Ability to think critically and propose solutions based on data analysis.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and support cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience with ERP, CRM (Salesforce, SAP), or BI tools (a plus but not required).
- Understanding of the manufacturing and distribution industry.
